Nylsvley floodplain

Area A

this 16 000 hectare flood plain is the largest flood plain in South Africa and one of the most important breeding areas for water birds in the country

Area B

This vast area has a variety of habitats ranging from Motane grasslands to Broadleaved woodland

Waterberg fringes

Area C

This has some of the most spectacular scenery of the area and a mix of habitats at the foot of the waterberg mountains.

Arid West

Area D

This area has a strong Kalahari charater to is in many areas. This area is famous for it's resident populations of Yellow-throated Sandgrouse, and otherwise has many birds typical of the drier habitits.
